He looks to me, to be a man with a textbook case of needing to be noticed. Wouldn't go so far as to call it megalomania. He's a little too kind to others for that sort of thing.

It's very dull megalomania, I think. He's too nice, yeah, but sometimes he's too nice because he wants to wax poetic about being too nice, not just because he wants to.
[He turns toward the sound, and his nerves amp right back up, but he stays sitting.]
[He can't quite decide if he should be proud of himself for not immediately saying "Yeah, worse things like me,". But he says nothing, watching him unlock the door and eventually getting off the couch.]
